Review: Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Under Eye Primer

Hi Everyone!

Who doesn't want their under eye concealer to last longer and keep the skin under their under eye hydrated? Smashbox came out with another product to add to their primer line. Only this one is specifically made for the under eye area. The company was nice enough to give me one to try as gratis.

Let's get the facts out of the way and then I will tell you guys my opinion at the end.

First of all you can find the product at http://tinyurl.com/PhotoFinishEyePrimer and a lot more information about the product.

The product is 0.33 oz for $29.00.

Since the skin under the eye is very delicate. Smashbox decided to come up with a primer to help the longivaty and keep the under eye hydrated. A lot of people face the problem of their under eye concealer creasing because the skin under their eye is dryer then the rest of their face.

This product is formulated to prime the under eye while reducing the look of fine lines, puffiness, wrinkles, age spots, and dark circles. This product can be used makeup or worn alone. Since it is a light pink tint is provides instant brightness. It is infused with anti-aging ingredients (caffeine, peptides, and optical diffusers).

It has a rating of 3.8 out of 5 stars on Sephora.com which is not bad at all. Some of the words people used to describe the product is creamy, crease resistant, color correcting, brightening, and more. From the first 10 review on the products page, 4 of them were negative.

Now, time for my opinion on this product. I decided I was going to use it because Smashbox was so nice as to give the product to us (employees). At first, I just thought I was adding another step to my beauty routine and once the product ran up I would go back to just using primer all over my face and concealer as normal. BUT, when this product ran up is when I noticed how well it actually worked.

First, I would like to say that a little bit goes a long way! It is super easy to blend and instantly gives your eye a little pick me up.

When I ran out of the product I started using my concealer on it's own as I was and noticed major creasing under the eye. I also noticed that my concealer would not last all day or at least my 8 hour shifts at work. I do not like touching up my makeup throughout the day. What I put on in the beginning of the day has to last all day until I wash my face (expect for my lip products).

With all that being said I guess you can say I am a huge fan of this product! It does everything it says it's supposed to do. I am very happy that Smashbox introduced me to this product because if not I probably would have never tried it.

If you guys have any questions regarding the product that I might not have covered please leave me a comment down below. Also, let me know if there are any specific products you would like me to review as well.

Hope you guys are having a lovely week and are ready for the weekend!

XOXO
